Easter Recap

"We met with some of the SFM youth group members on Thursday, April 1, 2021. It was great to see most of the youth group members. We haven’t had a meeting in over a year due to the pandemic. We have been staying in touch through social media, email, phone and texts. We had 11 youth come and help make Easter baskets, candy bags, and color eggs for the annual Easter basket give away and egg hunt after Mass at St. Charles Borromeo in St. Francis. They did an awesome job! They made 102 Easter baskets and about 200 candy bags. One of our youth families are parishioners at St. Bridget’s in Rosebud so we made candy bags to pass out after Mass there too! We talked about Holy Week, the meaning of Easter and answered any questions the youth had. We had a new youth join so they all introduced themselves and welcomed the new member! One of our youth members, Ashaun, a senior who is attending St. Mary’s Catholic School in Dell Rapids, SD, stopped by for a visit! We are proud of Ashaun and all he is doing and will be doing! It was a great day with the youth for Ben and I.

The SFM Youth group also passed out Easter baskets, candy bags and hid eggs for the egg hunt after Easter Mass at the St. Charles Parish . A couple of our youth passed out candy bags at St. Bridget’s in Rosebud after Mass too! It was a great day! Thank you to the youth and families who helped.

Thank you!
