You can purchase quilts, jewelry, and craft articles handmade by dozens of local Lakota artisans who have have many years of experience working in the distinctive Lakota colors, patterns, materials, and images. This is a fair trade gift shop – which means that the online store pays the artisans a fair wage for their many hours of work. For many of these artisans making these articles is their only employment. Often, it is a family activity in which these artisans pass along their knowledge and skills to their children.
