Caption:Lakota school children examine Fr. Buechel's ethnographic collection. Fr. Buechel first displayed is collection at St. Francis in the Jesuit residence and as it grew, in a small building. Brother Hartmann built the current museum for Fr. Buechel in 1950 to commemorate Fr. Buechel's 50 years as a Jesuit.
