Wanbli Sapa - Fr. Eugene Buechel, S.J.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Fr. Buechel's death the Buechel Museum is mouting a virtual exhibit on the life and work of Fr. Buechel, S.J. This exhibit is in collaboration with two other exhibits honoring Fr. Buechel and his ethnographic work; one held in Germany at the City Museum in Geisa on Sunday, October 31 2004 along with a memorial liturgy for Fr. Buechel, S.J. at the Shield Church. A seonnd exhibit of Fr. Buechel's photographs on loan from the Buechel Memorial Lakota Museum took place from Sunday, November 14, 2004 until Sunday, December 19, 2004 at Creighton University's Lied Art Gallery.

We have begun work on: Fr. Eugene Buechel, S.J. - A Visual Biography. The exhibit will eventually be in English and German and is currently under construction. We invite you to view the progress we are making.
