Ways to Donate
My responsibility as Pastor of the Rosebud Reservation is to provide for the spiritual and physical well-being of the people in my charge. Faced with many difficult problems, the people of the Rosebud Reservation look to the Church for hope. Responding to tragedy resulting from high rates of substance abuse, unemployment, and suicide, St. Francis Mission initiated a number of successful programs that provide a bright spot of hope for many Lakota people.
St. Francis Mission is a non-profit organization that relies entirely on charitable contributions. Your gift makes a real difference in the quality of life for those on the Rosebud Indian Reservation.

Matching gifts can be an efficient way to expand the impact of your gift. Many private companies offer a matching gift program whereby employees’ gifts to charitable organizations may be matched by a donation of equal size to a charitable organization from the employer.
Policies on matching gifts vary from company to company, and it is best to get in touch with the human resources division of your employer to find out what procedure must be followed in order to obtain the match for your gift. Generally your employer will ask you to fill out a form with a brief explanation of what the organization does, how much you gave, and when.
If you have questions about working with your employer to get a matching gift, please call our Vice President, Sandra McNeely. She can be reached at (605) 718-7912 or by Email.
A charitable gift annuity is a contract under which a charity, like St. Francis Mission, agrees to pay a fixed amount of money to one or two individuals for their lifetime in return for a transfer of cash, marketable securities, or other assets. A person who receives payment is called an “annuitant” or “beneficiary.” The payments are fixed. A portion of payments is considered to be a partial tax-free return of the donor’s gift. Charitably gift annuities can be of great help to the charity receiving them, and can provide great tax benefits for the giver.
